During virus shutdown, Osteen wants you to donate money through Venmo.

Updated: Mar 23, 2020

Because of a global pandemic and lack of church attendants, there still has to be a way that the church will get their money.

Read the headline, kids. Show me the money.

Houston, TX. God needs money, and a global pandemic isn't going to stop him. Yesterday Pastor Joel Osteen of Lakewood Church sent a message to all the congregation that couldn't make it to his church because of Covid-19, that you should still donate money through online portals like Paypal or through apps like Zelle or Venmo.

"There is no reason you shouldn't donate more now, a few hundred dollars each, it will help you get back into church, and in Jesus' good graces where you belong." said Osteen. "We can beat this virus through prayer and a low monthly payment plan."

The Lakewood Megachurch will be closed until further notice.
